U2 Concert

Birthday party time!

I looked over when Liv called me and this is what I found.

We had a great time at U2. Anthony and I drove to Steubenville to drop Olivia off with her Auntie Bri. Then we were off to Virginia from there. The ride wasn't as bad as we thought it might be because we listened to Ceasar Milan (Dog Whisperer) on CD the entire way. It was pretty interesting. Overall we spent about nine hours getting to Steub and then Charlottesville, VA. Excessive you might say? Completely. But I would do it again. The show was AMAZING. Beyond the fact that U2 is just untouchable the actual show was unbelievable. The lighting and energy that they put off is awesome. We were exhausted all weekend and basically slept on and off all day yesterday and for some reason today too.

Olivia has a little cold which is keeping us down and out but other than that we are ready for the week. So much to do, so little time to do it!

Vacation Time

All my pictures were captured via camera phone... my real camera was broken. So sad! But I got some memories... and my mom sent back a few disc's worth of pics that I have yet to go through. Totally loved Florida but really loved the weather when we returned to Ohio.... The weather in Columbus has been so amazingly beautiful. The weather in Florida, not so much.

We definitely missed Anthony on our vacation and I am pretty sure he missed us. The good news is that Bentley (our dog) and Anthony really love one another now. And we hae confirmed yet again that Florida is a great place for after residency...... :-)

Toddler Napping Issues

So yesterday I went to spin again. Basically with the exception of Sunday I had been to spin everyday since Wednesday. Needless to say, today I did not go. I was spinning and realized that my body was TIRED! Apparently you aren't supposed to spin EVERYDAY. Who knew? So now I need to motivate myself to do some other form of exercise every other day. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I am headed to Florida.... so the gym thing will temporarily end. But my sister Bri will be working out everyday on the beach and I know that having her there will help with my motivation. So will the whole bathing suit thing. Ha!

Does anyone else have a toddler who wont nap during the early afternoon but almost always falls asleep at 4 or 5? I am not sure what to do with her. We put her in her bedroom around one and designate that nap time. She wont fall asleep until 4ish which creates a problem. I would like to put her down at 6:30 for the nite but it seems that if she makes it past 4 without sleeping she is ready to go! And she doesn't settle again until 8 or even 9 ish. Any thoughts?

Reading books to Mary

Today I walked upstairs and found Liv's door closed. Uh oh. So I peeked inside expecting to find marker on the wall or complete destruction. Instead I saw Liv with a statue of Mary on her chair. I asked Liv what she was doing with Mary and to please put it back on her shelf. She looked at me with such a look of conviction and said 'But mom, I am reading Mary a book!'

It just made me think about how much Mary must enjoy having a three year old read a book on sea life to her!
